Vs 2016 designer cs not updating
As soon as you do this a new .file will be created for you with all the controls in it.Solution 2 : Delete your old .file if you want to update and create a new empty file with the same name, after saving your aspx or ascx file again, the designer class will be regenerated. Before trying any solution just try to remove all the error from your aspx or ascx file, as any error on the file will prevent the Visual Studio to create a designer file for you, and it might happen that none of the solution will work for you.Solution 1 : Right Click on you aspx or ascx file and select "Convert to Web Application".
One note: the single file generator feature is activated in CPS if a capability named "Single File Generators" is defined in your project. You can send these issues directly to the Web Development Tools team via a DL we have setup for direct feedback on anything web development related for this RC. We always have a problem that not updating automatically when we add new controls in markup or the designer, and if we want to get it in code behind, it doesn’t show up. Yep, that post (thread) is dealing with the same problem (or at least a similar one).
Thanks for finding it ( I'd searched this forum, but didn't know about that one ...By default that is already included in the project type via the default targets (Microsoft. Current Version.targets), but if you completely changed the targets you may need to make sure it is defined.
